This lot comes to us from the Kibingo Central Washing Station, located in a Kayanza commune in northern Burundi. Kibingo handles crops from approximately 3600 registered growers and each producer harvests from an average of 300 coffee trees. The station itself has 10 fermentation tanks, 2 soaking tanks and a drying field with 170 raised beds. Kayanza region is one of the most reputable growing areas of Burundi because the soils are rich and volcanic, and growing conditions are optimal year round. This lot was dried with the fruit attached to produce a pronounced stone fruit note in the cup.
