Gold Mountain Coffee Growers facilitated this blend of green coffees which draws the pacamara variety from the farms of producers Don Manuel, Juan Carlos and José Francisco. The pacamara bean is a hybrid of the pacas and maragogype varieties and it's very large in size, just like its ancestor the maragogype. The farmers producing this coffee all work high in the mountains on the border of Matagalpa and Jinotega, Nicaragua where the elevation is around 1400 meters above sea level. The sweet taste and crisp fruit flavor that results from their collaborative effort is reminiscent of a red apple, the coffee's namesake.
