This washed coffee from Suke Washing Station in Ethiopia's Guji region is produced by around 1,000 smallholder farmers who deliver red cherries to Abdurahman Mahdi’s wet mill in Bule Hora. Grown at elevations above 2,000 meters, the coffee benefits from Guji’ s high altitude, fertile soils, and steady climate, which together support slow cherry maturation and complex cup profiles. Processing includes 36 to 48 hours of fermentation, followed by soaking and careful drying on raised beds. The operation is fully traceable through Kuru, from wet mill to export, and is built on long term relationships with local producers. Alongside a strong focus on quality, the program emphasizes sustainable agriculture, including wastewater management and composting practices, as well as meaningful collaboration with farming communities in one of Ethiopia ’s most dynamic coffee producing regions.
